What do you think of this feed?

This is a Performance 12% Pelleted feed.

What company produces this? Myself I would go with a feed that is higher in fat if the horse is in any kind of work.

I'm sorry, it is 6% fat, not 3%. I'll make the change above. I'd rather not give a brand name though. I'd like an evaluation that isn't biased by brand, if possible.

There are just a couple of things that I don't like: corn/homony (both corn products). Very low levels of vit E considering the addition of Se (E needed to process the Se). Also, would like to see more copper...but that is a common flaw in horse feeds. E is also generally low in feeds.

However, having noted those things....given the amount of fiber, fat and protein, there are probably very low levels of corn/homony....and they are probably processed/cooked in some way. This would reduce the carbs. I personally would look for something with no corn, but if this was a convienient feed and was not at a rediculous price, I might consider it. It would depend on the horse and its level of work.
