What Do You Think of Kieffer Saddles?

I was inspired by another member's thread, so decided to make my own

What are your opinions on Kieffer Dressage Saddles? Specifically the Aachen II? Good, bad, okay? Any information is appreciated.

Thanks!

I used to own a older Rhein model and an newer Ulla Salzgeber model. Both were really great dressage saddles.

My friend has an old Aachen model AP saddle that is okay. Hard to get comfortable in though (referring to the AP).

Fantastic saddles - great leather, wool stuffed, and some have changable gulletes

They are a great deal, IMO. They hold up great, and can be re-stuffed. Most of them are made on a synthetic tree that is adjustable. Don't know for sure, but I've heard that Dressage Extensions will adjust the tree for $50.

Cool, I think I'll get the saddle, as long as it fits! I just wanted to make sure Kieffers weren't like Kincades

The ONLY thing they have in common is the letter K.

That adjustable tree can only be adjusted a certain number of times, I think. You might want to look into that, especially if buying used.

That's good to know Although I'm not planning on adjusting the tree - my horse is pretty normal, at least when I use a sheepskin pad.
