Wait it out, then continue on and pretend it never happened. Some of this is his being green, normally, when he has to pee he goes, he'll figure out that your rides aren't neverending and that he can wait a bit, or at least give you some warning haha. For now though, if it happens in a show, don't make a big deal about it. Let him go and then continue with whatever it is you need to be doing. Judges aren't totally heartless they know horses are horses. Although, during a show, he's most likely going to be a bit distracted and more excited than at home, so you're probably safe about him just letting loose under saddle, they'll be more interesting things on his mind than his bladder lol

It happened to me at a small open schooling show. I had asked the question on here before, about pooping, and was told that she should be able to walk and poop at the same time, but she can't! Even in the pasture, she stops and goes.

At the show, the judge told me it was no big deal and he didn't count down because she had to stop to go. Still, I would much rather prefer to train them to wait if possible, I was rather embrassed when my girl stopped and peed.
