Just called and they said the colt died this weekend. Probably for the best atm. They have to many horses and can't get any sold. Sometimes we are blessed when it doesn't seem like it at the time.

I think being twins was their first downfall. I was only there to take pictures of him for half an hour the day he was born. I haven't talked to my friends yet but when I get more info I'll let you know.

It's not uncommon when twins are born for both to die eventually in pretty short order. The equine uterus/placenta situation just isn't made to support more than 1 foal. There are nutritional deficiencies, inadequate blood supply (therefore inadequate oxygen supply), they are often born dysmature or premature, and it just all adds up to a very very rough start on what isn't an easy introduction to the world to begin with

Looks like a Grulla....coat is be black/blue...instead of black/brown...when grown up and on right feed.
