Yes, but that is your *College* GPA, not your high school GPA. You have to go through Pre-Veterinary classes/ major for 3 or 4 years before you can apply for actual Vet School.

Here is the AAVMC website for loads of great information about schools and applying: http://www.aavmc.org/students_admissions/path.htm

Yeah, you can get into Pre-Veterinary schools at many colleges. I would definitely recommend starting out at a smaller local college for your Pre-Vet years. It will be an easier transition into college from high school, smaller class sizes of 20ish students versus an auditorium of 300+ at a larger school, decent and caring professors, and less demanding work.

Once you complete Pre-Vet, I would apply for as many schools that offer Veterinary medicine as you can for the best chance to get in.

I got a little while to wait. Lol, just a freshman. But my school makes you choose your career path, when your a freshman. I think its a good idea, in some places so you can take the right courses. But alot of people change their mind ... I am set on vet. Animals are my passion

I want to go to the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and major in Media and Film. They also have an intercollegiate equestrian team which i am interested in joining.

Well go for it! Take as many science and math classes as you can. As I have already basically preached to death , if your school offers AP classes and you can handle them, take as many as you can. If you do well enough on the class' College Board mandated AP Exam in May, you may earn college credit for that class. (Which is GREAT because you will be able to move ahead to the next class in college and also save money from the class and its books in college.)

Good Luck!

Thanks

I am taking all AP right now, lots of homework lol.
I am in "Into. to Agriculture" right now. Stupidest class ever lol, but you have to take it to take the Pre-Vet in 10th and Vet.Assistent in 11th or 12th, supposedly, both very hard classes

I do have a question though -- I tested out of Algebra, but I am going taking it anyways (I need a foundation for Algebra2) but, we took the test about a month ago, and I tested out of Geom. , should I take it? I mean, is it the basis of any other classes really?? Haha, it would be nice to skip it, but I don't want to skip out of anything I need. I could always do Geom.PreAp, which is what I plan on if I take it.
