What breed is this pony?

We bought Blaze on the 4th at a horse auction. He is severely underweight, but full of energy! We were wondering what breed you think he is. We were thinking that he was maybe a POA or a Quarter Pony. What do you think?

I would say he looks more like a quarterpony then a POA. He's cute BTW

We were looking at POA color requirements, and he has speckles on his anus, as well as on his muzzle.

I've really gotta get my eyes checked.

You call that severely under weight?

Nice pony.

He looks like a mutt, but he's cute! He really doesn't NEED to gain any weight, a little won't hurt, but anything more than a little will make him FAT!

Welsh x Quarter horse. He isn't what i'd call severally underweight, he eed some weight and muscleing though.

This is him with his winter coat in full blow! His ribs stick out, you can grab his spine! He hasn't lost his winter coat yet as he was so wormy. His hips stick out a bit, the bone is right there, no fat covering it. He feels more like a cow hip than a horses. Trust me, he is underweight.

He's definitely not "severely" underweight. I'd probably put him at a 3 BSC. Mostly he's undermuscled. He's darling though!

While he is underweight, I wouldn't call him SEVERELY underweight.
Cute pony! Looks to me like a quarter pony cross, possibly with a welsh like someone else mentioned. Whatever he is, he's a cutie and will be very handsome with proper care.
