With Melody I'm working on perfecting her flying changes. We're also working hard on our collected canter and balance on 6m circles. I'm also very happy to say that Mel has decided to start jumping again. She went over an 18" vertical and didn't refuse!

We are remedial right now. I am training Obie to be FORWARD because he tends to get lazy, and OBEDIENT at walk and trot, and we are just starting some work at canter, which helps him with the forward (and he's not bucking at canter any more. Yay!)

With Echo, she has about 7 lifetime rides, so we are just learning walk, trot, stop, and steering (she has plenty of forward, no problem there).

Well...
Abbey - Getting her fit after her 2 month break. At the moment we are doing lots of trotting. Once her fitness is back we will go back to some of the basics making sure she still remembers them

Millie - Slowly bringing her back into it after she went out for a month with a virus. Taking it extra slow to try prevent it popping back up because of hard work. Atm I'm playing each day as it comes with her, not planning any thing like events etc.

Elvis - The basics, getting him to carry himself (which is starting to come along very well!) in all gaits. Once I think that is established we will start working on out lentherning trot and counter canter. As for the jumping, we have established getting a nice rhythm and keeping it over a course of jumps but now I have gone back to doing even more grid work to get him more snappy and have him thinking about his own striding.

Not blasting off like a rocket ship after the first jump, and slowing the canter.

I'm training Fire to bend and flex on a circle, neck rein, and obey me at the trot. He tends to take off at a fast trot when I ask him for a little jog. The bending and neck reining are going well, though. On the ground we are working on sidepassing and pivots. He's getting it. Our biggest issue is keeping him healthy enough to be worked! Something is always wrong with the little dude.

I am working on tackless with Smartie. We've always done lots of bareback and bridleless, using a halter with the rope tied round into reins. At the moment we are doing just holding the rope for 'in case' situations and steering/stopping/starting with just legs and body position, at a walk.

I'm hoping to begin breaking her to harness in the next month.
