Smile What are the odds?

We put my yearling colt in with an 8 year old mare in heat!! Is it 50/50 chance that he could do something?

why would u put a colt in with a mare? actually its a higher chance that he could/would breed her especially if hes dropped and shes in heat.

Erm, Even if you knew there were a 50/50 chance, why would you put them together?? I wouldnt even chance it at a 2%, unless I didnt mind the whooops.

Well, no matter what the percentage...chances are there were some extra ciricular activities going on out there

In the future keep him away from the mares...especially those in heat...and you will not have to worry about the chances.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she/they were pregnant. Are they registered with either AMHA or AMHR?

Edited to add:

It is pretty much a 100 precent chance he did it.. Now, it is whether or not they caught that is the question. Has he dropped yet?

Well do you want me to show you the photos of the 13 month old hanging out and drooling over my peeing mare on the other side of the fence? LOL Believe me he tagged her... the question is if she stuck or not.

I'd get the colt out and safely away from mares. Are you keeping him a stallion, or are you gelding soon?
And, I would be having your mare preg. checked in 16-18 days.
