What a difference a year makes...

I remember this day like the back of my hand, last year. Jason and I were coming back home from a farm auction, and my dad calls. "Hey sis.." he always called me sis...."What are you plans for tonight? Feel like going out to eat?".....God do I regert everyday for turning him down. Never in my life, did I know I would never speak to him again. The dreaded phone call came in 2:03 am, 3-13-05, it was my brother. Jason answered, he told us to hurry, something was wrong. I knew the moment I heard Jason say, get dressed, something is wrong with your father. I just had that feeling....

But, today, I sit here and review what has happened over the year. Dad is in a better place now, with no worries, no pain. He's sitting back with his brother Sunny. I can be thankful that he did no suffer. He had a massive heart attack, and the doctor at the ER that night said it was likely he had died before he hit the ground. (he was walking towards the bathroom)

That easter, 05, Casey (my daughter) was concevied. So, one angel left my life, and God blessed me with another. I believe that my father is Casey's angel.

I've been on an emotional rollacoster, but, that's life I guess. So, today, I say a little prayer, and in ending, like every night before I close my eyes, I say: "God, as you are listening to my prayer, please find my father, and tell him I care. Please tell him how much I love him and miss him. Till we meet again."

Thanks for listening...I just had to get it out.

Awww. Im sorry about the loss of your father, and I truly believe things happen for a reason...and that he is Casey's angel...the month I lost my beloved pug, my baby was conceived...so I know it happens.

Your Dad is looking down on you, proud as can be..

As this day was approaching, I knew how difficult this will be for you. I think the first anniversary of someones passing is always the hardest. Just remember; missing your father will never subside, but the pain will lesson. There has never been any doubt in my mind that he went to heaven....because I've met his daughter - and anyone who could raise a daughter as good and sweet as you - will surely reside in heaven forever.

Awe you almost made me cry Sounds like you have had a tough year.
It sucks about your last call to your father, you never know, no one does.
My uncle, he had a fight with his Daughter, she ran out of the house, got in her car, and got in a wreck and died. He didnt believe she was gone. It happens to alot of people. Dont beat yourself up about it. He knows you loved him and if your good, you'll see him one day to.

I cant even begin to imagine how hard it must've been for you to cope but it sounds like you did and you are a much stronger person now! They always say one door closes so another can open. Mayb your fathers passing gave you the chance to begin to fill that empty whole with your beautiful baby daughter!
And from now on, When things get difficult, Your dad will always be their to help you along and guide you to all the great places you will go

*big hugs*
