Wet Stalls

Ok, so our barn is at the bottom of a hill. () Sometimes when it our run in/barn gets wet. I was wondering if there was anything we could do so that it wouldn't get so wet all the time? Here is a pic of what the entry looks like...just for referance.

If it REALLY bothers you.
Dig out the muck and toss it to the side.... get some rock, throw it in the hole, you need drainage.
We have several spots that are like yours. Some of ours are so soft all around that there is no help.
But dig that hole, throw what ever in the hole....2-3 feet deep, not alot necessarily. Then rocks ranging from 1 inch in diameter to some big ones that wiegh 40 lbs..... throw em in. Cover it back up..... should not give you trouble after that.

Why not trying a French drain type like digging the way around the barn, place a pipe with those little holes in then fill the hole back up with small rock or limestone, pack it good and that should take care of the water run off. Make sure u dig on a kinda slant so the water runs down from the front not just lay in the drain, it must have a slant away from the barn also.

My runin had/ got a muckpit in front of it when it rained. I put down a couple pvc pipes to enhance/ direct drainage, and slowly raised the slope in front of the doorway with dirt and wasted hay. Most of the drainage now happens where the pipe was set, about 8-10 ft away from the barn. Earthworms have invaded the slope at the door, suggesting its not too wet or mucky there.
