Western Trail Course Obstacles (construction)

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could find some plans on how to build Trail Course obstacles???

I REALLY want to train Dancer for Trail Class... I've always wanted a horse that would be good at it, and she will be... she's responsive and she's got a good head on her shoulders, so I think I'll be able to get her conditioned to things fairly successfully.

PLUS, even if I did not want to compete, I think doing some trail class work with a Pleasure Class horse is a good break from more repatative rail work, but still encourages lightness in the bridle and responsiveness to leg, hand and seat commands, plus encourages full collection while working slowly and carefully over obstacles.

GROUND poles I have figured out Roger is really REALLY good at building things, but said he wants to see some 'plans' for bridges and gate work stuff, etc... So if I find him plans he promises to build it for me in the next month YES!!!!!

You could use some tposts and string for rope gates.

For bridges I've heard of using pallets (like for moving shipments of products) and filling in the gaps with narrow peices of wood.

ROTFLMAO... I am already an assistant leader of a canine 4-H club and that is time consuming enough, no WAY am I doing horses too, LOLOLOL... BUT I never thought to call the extention office and ask if they have any, that's a good though!!!

Too bad you don't live closer John, you could just SHOW Roger what he needs to do AND you could train him how to be a proper 'groom', LOLOLOL ... alas I think I'll be a solo act for most shows (sigh)...

ok way off topic. in the second pic. the draw reins, did you use them before or after the martingale. and on the martingale how do you determine the ring setting you need. I live in the land of the roper and no one has even seen on before. lol.
