You could use some tposts and string for rope gates.
For bridges I've heard of using pallets (like for moving shipments of products) and filling in the gaps with narrow peices of wood.

ok way off topic. in the second pic. the draw reins, did you use them before or after the martingale. and on the martingale how do you determine the ring setting you need. I live in the land of the roper and no one has even seen on before. lol.
I did a msn search for western trail plans and got some free ones.
