I went, I saw, I bought. Hmmmm. I did not plan on bringing anything home, jsut wanted to see how they ran the sale and how the horses sold. Well, it was awful. There were 70 horses and not even half got a bid. I had owners coming up trying to give me horses after the sale so they would know they had a home. I could have brouht home a dozen and not paid a dime for them. And they were nice horses! Young, sound, gleaming and dappled.
The horse I bought is older, 8 years old, was retired 2 years ago and has been living at the trainer's farm since, getting fat and hopefully lazy! He is clean legged, built beautifully, loaded right up on the trailer and settled into his stall at home eating hay. I am hoping it was $150. well spent. I would have felt very guilty not bringing something home and at least doing a small part to help these horses get on with thier lives. Will load up a pic...

You chicken!!!
I should have left too, but it was like a car wreck, you just can't look away! I only had one stall open since I sold a horse last week. It's a good thing since there was another cute one that was offered to me for free. He did not get a bid in the ring.

There was a nice 4 yr old mare sired by Millions, a nice gray stud. She was confirmed in foal to Polish Pro, so 2fer1 and she only got a $100. bid. So sad.

I had a gut feel they were going to go cheap, its sad. There were some nice looking horses there. I fell in love with a really dark grey that I saw.

No more horses for me unless someone leaves and I don't think that will happen

The dark gray was a filly named Dead Flowers(UGH). She went through near the end and sold for $100.
