Well..should I save her from the auction???

Looks like a may be getting another rescue a 2 year old filly,black/white,breed unknown. A family bought her at an auction because she was pretty (she sure is),but they had 0 horse experience and can't take care of her or another gelding they got. so they said come pick one or both up or they are going back to auction i can't get them both, but i am trying hard for the filly. i wanted to post pics to see if any of you experts could discern anything serious about her conformation....legs,etc. i am not good at picking that stuff up in pics and the drive is pretty long...i want to be sure if i go i am picking her up I LOVE the spots on her legs!

She looks decent but I cant get over those hooves The poor thing really needs a trim!! She also looks prego to me.

I would get them both. Lol. Just think of seeing the two pulling a nice buggy. Haha!

That belly does look suspicious, though. The way it sags...

I also like both of them but I do think you will be getting a gift before long with the way that belly looks It does not look like a fat belly to me but a prego belly! Its really sad the way owners take no responsibility in getting there horses gelded

wow...she is only 2...that would be sooo sad if she is pregnant! and i would have no way of knowing who the sire is since she is from the auction...

well, um, if this present did happen to make an appearance...based on the pics could you make a guesstimate on how long till' his/her arrival?

I would post in breeding and ask the experts because even though I have had a couple of foals I am not an expert. But If I had to guess I would say around Feb/March but I could be way off!

It's pretty hard to say what her conformation is as the pics are angle shots.

All I can see, IMO, at the these angles, is that she looks straight shouldered and hipped. Her legs look decent, but agree with 747, that she needs a trim. Her front right looks to be toed in or she's had a bowed tendon in the past. Thinking and hoping its that she's toed in. At 2, if you find an old school farrier, they should be able to turn it back out.

Both look in decent shape so they look to have the general idea on feeding.

But this is just my opinion....lol

I agree about the pregger thing. First thing I thought when I saw her belly was "uh oh...."
