Exclamation Weight issues and feed/RB

Hello all, This is my first post. I have taken the time and read all about RB and Boss and so. What my mane problem is, is that I have to STBS and one TB that are off the track. They get unlimited hay, and 9 pounds of sweet feed. We were not getting any weight on them, so we started adding Beet pulp.. still no extra weight. ( all would score in the 4 catagory )
So now we added Gro N Win and Boss,
Vet has been out all upto date on vac, and worming, tests look good, But I still can not get weight added.
The TB ( 20 YR old) now seems to be loosing..
Horses are not new to us and we raise STBS for Racing. This is the first time we have had this issue.
Our 8 YR STB mare is getting reay to be AI, I need to have her up in weight.
Any advice would be great.. Also we are on a dry lot ( no pasture ) since we are having dozer work done to all of our land for the betterment of drainage and so on. But good hay is always there for them

Thanks, and Happy mothers day

Matthew

Drop the sweet feed.

Replace it with either alfalfa pellets or, since you seem to be able to get Buckeye products, one of their feed products.

What's they're deworming like? (What, when, etc....)

When were their teeth last checked/floated?

Do you have an internet link to their sweet feed? Or a feed tag off of it?

Are you feeding the ration balancer on top of the sweet feed? If so, how much ration balancer?

How many meals are they fed a day?

How much beet pulp and boss are you feeding?

What type of hay and how much is 'unlimited'?

How long ago did you add the extra feedstuffs?

Sorry for all the questions!

Do you have a photo of any of them to give us an idea of their weight?

You should not be feeding that amount of ration balancer with that amount of sweet feed (unless by sweet feed you're referring to an all grain, non fortified mixture).

How long have they been fed this.

And how much hay are they getting. (Though I realize this will be an approximation.)

Looking at the photos, I see more obvious signs of malnutrition than being underweight. Though they both could stand to gain a little.

This is a 12% non-fort..
Hay would be 20-30 pounds

Are you sure it's non-fortified? Sorry for the annoying questions, honestly. But this part is very important.

What type of hay is it?

When were the diet changes made?

So this is an all grain mixture, not a sweet feed?

One of the biggest things I'm seeing is the severly thin necks in comparison to their overall body condition. That is not a 'normal' weight loss pattern. For the neck to be as thin as I'm seeing, they would be a 3 or lower bcs. They're not.
