What type of hay is it?

When were the diet changes made?

So this is an all grain mixture, not a sweet feed?
When you say Fort.. I think ( with boitin and oils) wich is how you tell the difference,,
It is a sweet with molasses

Hay is alfalfa grass mix

The small one just came of the track in Dec.. and is also in a growing phase

A non fortified feed will not have anything added to it aside from the actual bulk product. Iow, it will not have any vitamin mineral package added to it.

For example, it would be corn, oats, barley, and molasses. Nothing else.

Seeing a feed tag (ingredients and analysis) would help a lot.

can you post us the complete ingredient list or link to the "sweet feed" you are feeding

if they wre mine I would remove the premixed grain and add beet pulp and/or rice bran and possibly some flax

Okay, in that case, you can not feed that amount of the sweet feed and that amount of the ration balancer.

The first picture looks like Kandee did in January.

This is what I did to put weight on her:

x 2lbs Triple Crown 12% [it's a RB for horses on alfalfa]
x 4lbs Rice Bran a day [some say that's too much rice bran, but that's what I feed]
x 1/2 cup Flax seed

I also started with deworming with a good quality wormer. And I also treated for sand, as well. One week of psyllium husk/fiber. You can use sugar free metamucil at 1 cup a day for one week.

I would look at somethign close to Jess's diet

Buckeye is designed to be fed with oats or beet pulp as extra calories if you call them they are gonna say oats I have had better luck with Beet Pulp on my mare though
