We FINALLY got ALL 4 off the ground!!!

I have been working with my yearling QH for about a month now- not consistently (I know, I'm bad).

Just when she got the left back leg up she was kicked in the right rear stiffle, so I thought I was having problems with that leg because she hurt and dident want to extent it or bring it up at all.

BUT- FINALLY!!!!!!!!! Finally after working so hard and trying to make her understand that I would catch her if she fell I finally got all four feet off the ground! Not just the hurry and dig all the crud out- actually got to hold her feet up and clean them out and truly look at her right rear. I though for a min. that I would never see the bottom of that thing!

Just wanted to share and say how happy I was with my girl! I hava to call my grandparents and tell them. I did it all byself, dident even have to do the rope trick!

Thaks so much guys!

I still think a month is quite a long time. I got her two fronts up about 2 weeks ago. Fianlly got the left rear up a week ago- only if her rear left was in front of the right rear. Then, it took me a few tries to actually hold her right rear up long enough to clean it all out...

But, we did it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty good for having her for 2 months and the people that had her before me never touched her except to feed. Just left her in a field with another horse and that was it... poor Indie baby... no one to pick and prod at you...
