It's easy to compliment good horses, and that's what you have in your pasture.

Ok, after seeing Cheyenne's baby, I have to add her to my top 3 (it was top two till I saw her, LOL) so:

Top 3 - Cheyenne
Melody
Dusty
( and that is not "in order" because I think all three are equally impressive and built to a T)

Then I'd have to really study on the others, but I can see a lot of good in Shasta's, Little Jack's, Chickies (really do like that foal too), Peper and Jada's.

I know that's almost your whole herd, LOL, but like I said, I REALLY like the "stamp" Romeo is putting on them crossed on you set of mares.

Oh come on -- you'd rather spend a weekend on Tybee Island than buy some gorgeous foals and see Iowa and maybe go trail riding with us? Tsk Tsk.

Hey, my niece lives in Savannah, GA....I have been to Tybee! You will love it. Have a great time...... no divorces!!!!

BonnieM

PS I am pleased that my choice was in your top 3!!!

You know, if it wasn't for family (my brother and my nephew is graduating, thus the trip) in Georgia (oh and the fact that I'm also meeting up with endurgirl ) I would love a trip to visit you all in Iowa just as much!

We are going to check in on Saturday night, then go back into Savanah for the "River Walk" at night. Brother say's it's beautiful. He also go married on Tybee last fall and I didn't get to go to that, so I'm really looking forward to this trip, but DH is not going with us. We've only been able to get in the fields to plant for 4 days since spring He's got to stay and TRY to get some corn out. So, it's just me, 3 kids and our GSD (thus the reason we had to get a beach house and not just a hotel)

Thanks Bonnie

Oh man, can't wait to see those pictures from Tybee! Lucky you Cindy. Can't even think about a little R&R at the moment. The fields are just drying up enough to cultivate. Dave will be planting corn tomorrow. Yay!

Now I'll give you my opinion on the foals. Dusty's is in my opinion one of the best fillies ever born in our name. I haven't found too many faults with her yet. Then my eye goes straight to Chickies. He carries so much presence it's amazing for a little guy. I think it's his tiny little head and the way he floats across the pasture that just grabs me. He's a nice little package. Little Jacks colt is very much the same way. I'll have to post new pics of these guys in a week or 2 with more muscling and cover on them. Not really fair to judge a guy when he's 2 hours old. I really like Shasta's for his disposition and size. He really needs to grow into those knees though. We have his 1/2 brother from last year and that was one thing that really concerned me was him being over the knees quite a bit. No worries there now as he has outgrown them and is looking quite handsome now, even for a yearling. So, there's my top 3 with Melody's right in there as well. She hasn't let us down yet with a baby. Just a real good mare.

So, you know Cindy, if you want one bad enough, we can make it happen. There's plenty of time as they won't be weaned until September. We'll be looking to take a little time away by then anyway. We do deliver.

LOL! You know, DH and I were at the table the other night and I had just finished filling out the kids 4-H Horse papers for this year and there were 12 horses we were submitting for showing in 4-H shows. He shook his head and said, "Don't we have enough horses now? That's not even half of them right there." ROTFLOL!!! I looked at him and said, "Are you serious? You're ASKING me if it's enough. I figured you'ld be telling me ITS ENOUGH!", LOLOLOL.
