| Full Member | Wanting to rescue...
I currently give lessons on horses I have bought ("family emergency" horses and "needs to be gone by __" horses), but want to start incorporating rescues into my program. I am hoping that I can rehabilitate these horses with training, a kind home, and the purest form of love (children). Unfortunately (but also fortunately), there are so many rescues that it's hard to pick just one to partner with! So, I am trying to compile a list of rescues to gather a horse from (or to help in the rescue of horses), in order to find horses. When my financial situation is a bit more stable, I may take in a few companion horses to teach tacking up and grooming on. If any of you could help me make my list, that would be wonderful! I'm just one person, but even by helping save one horse's life, it's worth the effort. I work in the Portland, Oregon, area. Any rescues from Washington and Oregon would be fine. I would be willing to travel a good distance to help. Thank you all!
