Wanted: Horse in Indiana

Hello: I have adopted a horse from a rescue barn, but he isn't quite what I need, he's sway-back and older. I'm going to keep him, but I would like a horse I can take to local shows.

I am looking for a TALL horse, like, 15.3 or taller (I'm 6', 180lbs) possibly a schooling jumper. Doesn't need to be registered, or anything like that.

Would be used for hunt seat, and some jumping. (2'-2'3").

I would consider myself an intermediate rider, and I love to deal with minor problem horses.

Not looking to spend too much, but need something worth the time and effort..

Anybody know of any?

I have searched equine.com, dreamhorse.com, and horsetopia.com..no luck because most of the time the ads are old.

Northeast Indiana is where I am located, but am willing to travel about 50 miles any direction.

Thanks for all your help! Hannah

My price range is rather low.. I work at Taco Bell, but make ok money. Not looking to spend more then 1000, or 1500 if payments can be made. Thank you for all your help.

And KY is a little far to travel with the price of diesel. Sorry! Indy would be about as far as I would drive, or about 60 mile into MI or OH.

The horse that I went to look at was NOT at all what I was hoping. Back into my search I go. Northeast IN, Southeast MI, or Northwest OH. Less then $1500. Hopefully, something turns up. I can give a horsey a wonderful home with lots of other horse buddies!! Thanks for everybodies help! Hannah

I know of a nice gelding up here that is 16.1 and would make an EXCELLENT h/j or HUS horse. He is started on barrels but is sound and sane. Great personality as well.
