Videos From The Show - LL, Trail, and Showmanship

OK I got the videos. I do not have LL from day 1 up yet, but it will come eventually. Been super buisy again.

Novice Amature Showmanship -
Trail Day 1 -
Trail Day 2 -
LL Day 2 - (i know what I need to work on, and she was REALLY tired this day (dont blame her), and we need to practice working on loping longer, and I need to get her used to the whip) -
Oh..and I need to quit "traveling" as that is a HUGE bad habit that I have!! ARGH!!

Anyway, enjoy!(grin)

I only got to watch SMS, but what a pretty baby, looks like you cleaned her up super well! Especially with all that white haha. I love the square halt at the end of SMS right after your jog off.

ETA, just watched the other videos and I think she looks absolutely awesome. Just curious, what is a lungeling class judged on? Horse's movement, the horse's attitude, or your handling of the horse? I've always wondered that haha.

THankyou very much!

LL is judged on the way the horse moves, conformation (for say a riding horse), willingness, attitude, use of circle, etc.

THe more you have to use voice commands or the whip to get the horse going, the more you get docked (or dont get scored as high), I need to quit travelling, and I have to let her off into a larger circle than she is.

You HAVE to show all three gaits, otherwise you get DQ'ed.

This is my first year showing LL...and my first time EVER training a LL'er

The videos are AWESOME, Katie looks so great!

I think that you have done a SUPER job training her, especially for your first year. You should be VERY proud of yourself

Katie looks stunning with all that bright white, you must live at the barn LOL!

THankyou for commenting guys!!

I am VERY proud of myself, and what I was able to do with Katie, but I do owe Katie alot since shes such a fast learner and catches onto things VERY quickly and forgives me for my mistakes!

The secret to getting a white horse white is spending an hour or so giving them a good THOROUGH bath, blanketing them through the night with leg wraps on (helps minimize how much white can actually touch anything if they go to lay down). And do a good job cleaning/touching up in hte morning!
