Hi , My horse Zenith has been on Strongid X for 2 months now, prior to starting it I used a paste(Ivermectrin) and then started the Strongid 2X. I read somewhere that they still need to be pasted every 2 months. Does anyone know for sure and also, will I need to rotate the type of paste used? Thanks Donna |

If you feed a daily dewormer, such as Strongid C or Strongid 2X, be aware that it is not effective against bots, so you should deworm once in the fall and once in the spring using a 1.87% equine ivermectin paste dewormer to control bot infestation. A dewormer for tapeworms should be used late winter or early spring before grazing season or late autumn or early winter to clean the horse out after grazing season. Dewormers that work for tapeworm: Zimecterin Gold Quest Plus EquiMax ComboCare
