Who uses half chaps? Can you answer some questions for me?

I have never worn half chaps, but I like how they look. I know NOTHING about them, lol.

I would like to get a pair just for trail riding. What kind of price range do they normally run? I am talking working quality, not show quality.

Do they come in different sizes? If so, how is the sizing measured?

Are there any good places to buy them new? If you have a link, please post it!

I would also be interested in used.

Thanks a lot!

Kristina

http://www.equestrian-tack.com/sichdubeahac.html sizing!

They come in lots of sizes/

I buy off ebay!! I just make sure to double and triple check my measurements.

I love love love love my Dublin Easy Care half chaps My one pair lasted two and a half years before the elastic that goes around the bottom of your boot finally gave out. Could have sewed it, but I wanted black ones next.

I got my half chaps from:

http://www.horseloverz.com/home.php

But I used their ebay listing. You can buy them off the store.

Allright, I just measured and by that chart, I need an adult medium. (Calf 17, height 15. I have HUGE calfs, lol! At least I know they are all muscle )

I might just post a wanted ad in the classifieds.

Thanks again!

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my half chaps.

I have the zipper kind - black suede and paid about 50 bucks for them. Worth their weight in gold. (I hate my tall boots!)

I love them, but can't afford a pair right now. Just too many horse projects to finish up first I prefer the zipper personally

I LOVE half chaps - and was so sad when my last very loved pair had to go in the bin - they were so comfy I prefer the elasticated ones with a zip - and it's best to get them abit firmer fitting to start with as the elastic will stretch. I had some velcro ones that stretched so badly I couldn't wear them after a few weeks - they just fell down to my ankles - most uncomfortable!
