Petsmart no longer sells equine supplies. Petsmart owned stateline tack and sold it last year. But you can order them from stateline tack on line.

The Petsmart here never did have equine supplies. We don't have a lot of tack shops around, but I may be able to find something local. If not... that is the beauty of the internet, lol!

Petsmart only put in Equine stores in certain locations. They got smart and figured out they couldn't compete with the local competition so they didn't put Equine in all stores. The petsmart I worked for had there Equine deptartment for almost 2 yrs then they sold out stateline tack and Wow did we hit the jackpot. We bought things for 75% off it was great!

I'd really try to find somewhere where you can try them on. I went to the tack shop, and I've never really been a hard to fit person, but we went through at least a dozen different pairs before I found a pair that fit me right. It seemed like every brand had different sizing...literally I was an extra small in one brand and a large in another. I ended up getting an adult medium, I believe. I buy a lot of things off the internet, but that's one thing that I'd try hard to try out. Either that or be sure you know your measurements.

But I like how they look too, lol, I like going into walmart in them and everyone asks if I ride :P I'm a loser, I know, lol.

I got mine at the Equine Affair 3 years ago. They're suede and are still in great working shape! I love half chaps, they give you so much more freedom.

I suggest going to a tack shop and finding a pair you like and that fit you nice. If the tack shop is too expensive, just look up the exact ones on the itnernet and order them

I bought my second pair of half chaps a couple of months ago from stateline tack. My first pair (were velcro...loved them) held up for three years before i finally wore a hole in the insides. My second pair, (zipper...love this too) I also bought from Stateline and love them just as much if not more than my first ones. Both were a pretty reasonable price, roughly $30 - $50. My only suggestion is, if you're going with zippered chaps, go with a snugger fit because with time, they're going to stretch.

Good luck finding a pair of chaps

I just started using them when I ride. I have a black leather pair that are velcro all the way up and then a clasp up at the knee. I think they make it so that your calf does not move around the fender if you western but my instructor uses them and she rides english. She said it helps with contact. I like them also cause my legs stay cleaner and no dirt gets in my boots. Go to ebay.

I have a set of velcro half chaps from Devon-aire. I also have a set with zipper and much prefer the velcro as they are more adjustable. The zippers are fine if your weight never fluctuates.

I love love love love my Dublin Easy Care half chaps My one pair lasted two and a half years before the elastic that goes around the bottom of your boot finally gave out. Could have sewed it, but I wanted black ones next.
I agree they are amazing! I have had mine for about 2 years now.. they have gone thru me being run in to a fence and literally a PIECE of te fence going thru them along with alot of other stuff and are still going strong... and they are fairly cheap!
