Yes you can. I have used Suave on my horses before. I also like the Aussi products.

Our ph level is the same so any "normal" human shampoo could be used on them. I actually prefer people shampoo, it's lots cheaper and humans complain about stuff more so I always feel like it's more likely to rinse cleaner and leave less residue.

Baby shampoo is the gentlest you can get. They keep suave in the washstall in the barn and it works great (except regal gets weird when I shampoo him with apple scented shampoo LOL ) I used Garnier Fructise at a horse show once and won a color class that day! LOL.

I use head and shoulders on manes and tails, It helps with the flaking and itching IMO. Also, anything cheap usually works. Just remember to rinse well, like twice as much as you think you need to.I also use human conditioners.

When my mare had flaky skin everywhere, someone recommended Head and Shoulders. But then someone at my barn, can't remember who, freaked out when they saw me with it. I can't remember why or if it was a credible person, but I thought I'd throw that in there.

I know with dogs you can use human stuff, but the cheapest kind. Something about them being more water-based rather than waxy...I'm a pretty useless resource here, sorry!

I've used horse shampoo on my own hair, and it works but it's not as gentle, so i think that people shampoo would work better anyway.

I use washing-up liquid, on myself and my horses. I have been told that some horses have an allergic reaction to it, but I've never seen it. I've washed hundreds with no ill effects.

You could always do a little patch test before washing if your horse has sensitive skin.

I use Sebastion Products on Denny ...
The other horses envy his bouncey curls and shine

Just be careful with ANY shampoo
in the eye area..
That is the big deal with the dandruff shampoos
they are harsh on eyes...
Baby shampoo seems milder than it is..
The reason they can claim "No Tears"
is because they tweak the Ph so much..
Not such a big deal with horses..
But , it breaks down the acid mantle in humans..

We have the same PH level as horses, so yeah we can use human products on them. I do all the time. :-D
