| Senior Member+ | *Updated w/ Pics* 2 Horses Rescued
I just rescued 2 horses. I picked them up this morning. One is a 16yo strawberry roan app gelding. I think he is blind (or close to it) in his left eye and he's about 14.2h. The other is a sorrel 23yo standardbred/QH cross. She's about 14.1h and VERY sweet! They're both VERY thin and in need of foot care. Neither of them has a stitch of muscle on them. The mare actually looks better then the gelding if you can believe that! They both have raw noses and hairless spots all over their heads where the halters rubbed. I don't think the poor things have had their halters off for years. I will get some photos for you guys today along with my brand new filly!

Aww the poor horses...it sounds like they have had a rough life up until you rescued them, which was extremely nice of you to do. You never know where they would have ended up otherwise, but at least now they have a nice new home and someone to love them. Can't wait to see pics!

The mare is pretty even with the sway back. She must have been ridden alot in her day. The gelding looks like he just needs to eat. They are both nice looking horses. I can't wait to see how they have improved in a month or two. You are a good soul to give these horses a second chance.

They are pretty and with time and feed, will be beautiful. I always love to here rescue stories. The rewards of rescueing are awesome! In time you gain such a remarkable bond with them. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
