I'm glad they are in a good place now. I think there is a lot of animal abuse that goes on there, on that reserve. There is a rescue that is always pulling dogs out of there. I grew up near there.

Another little update... Sunchild (the stud) was gelded... I guess they finally got release on him. And unfortunately, one of the mares, Deuce, lost her foal. Miracle is doing better.

Glad the stud was gelded, and that Miracle is doing well. That is a perfect name for her, she certainly needs one

I am very sad for the mare that lost her foal, but now she can concentrate on getting better. It is too bad she was pregnant in the first place, poor dear.

So sad! I just can not see how people can be like this to animals! Please let us know if there is anything we can do! Glad to see the little one doing better.

I haven't been able to go down lately, but what I've gotten so far is that Miracle is going out for little walks everyday, and her heart and lungs sound better. The stud was gelded and is doing well, but is still a little studdy around the colts he's in with. The mares are gaining weight, two are still pregnant, Deuce lost her foal. I presume they will be up for adoption when they are healthy, but I'm not sure. They are currently listed on the foster page. I'm sure people could virtual foster one if they wish to help out, or just donate to the rescue for vet care, etc. If they do end up for adoption, they will only be available to someone living in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan. But I do not know whether they will be for adoption or not, as I do not work there. If you would like to virtual foster one of the horses, you can email the rescue... their email is listed on their website, www.bearvalleyab.org , or you can pm me for the email address.

It is unfortunate that there are people on this earth that abuse their power over animals and hurt, injure, starve, or otherwise harm a living creature that we should all be protecting and somehow not see the beauty they bring to us.
