**UPDATE! Post #53** I reported an abandond horse!

Today I visited my aunt and seen this god awful looking horse.

It's not the first time I've seen it.

About two months ago I seen it. It was skinny and awful looking. The house was for sale and had a "Pending Sale" sign on it. So I figured whoever was buying had rescued the horse and put it on the property. Well as I said that was 2 months ago.

Now fast foward to today. Driving by the house I again saw the same skinny horse. Just as bad and possibly worse than before. I called a friend of mine who is associated with a rescue. She quickly went to check it out. She called the Ag man ASAP. There was NO water on the property, and there is also another animal on the property (possibly a cow). As soon as she pulled up to the property the horse came flying up to her. I imagine it was happy to see someone! So after they get done seizing 8 other horses they are going to meet up and get this horse and other animal.

What gets me though... Is that the people who LIVE directly across the street also have 3 horses and have NEVER noticed this horse (or haven't cared enough to say something about it).

Now I hope that this horse is OK and that it can be rehabed and placed into a wonderful home!

**UPDATE!**

The Ag deputy still has not come out to seize the horse. It is infact a cow out there with teh horse. Me and my aunt went on the property to see it. I got sick to my stomach when I seen the horse up close. Im going to call my friend again and see if she has any up-dates for me. (I probably should have posted this first haha... but I forgot!)

Thumbs up

Good for you! Congrats, you might have just saved that animal's life. Also I sure hope those people just didn't notice that horse in the back, because if they had the nerve to let a poor innocent animal suffer like that.....

thanks to you for noticing and remembering what was going on before...you probably saved that poor creatures life!!!! No water in June (in florida)?- that is plain awful!!!! Makes you wonder about the folks across the street--- I assume YOU saw the horse from the street...I know sometimes neighbors don't want to make waves with neighbors, but that is crazy. Maybe the neighbor is nearsighted and can't see that far.... or mabye the AG man needs to check on those 3 horses too...

I cant believe no one in the area (that see this horse on a reg basis) didnt have the
guts to call attention to the plight of this poor horse or intervene and see if there was anything they could do to help it. Hopefully it will now get help.

I am waiting for my friend to call. When she does I am going to meet her and the Ag people at the house. It is crazy that the no-one noticed it as I did see him from the road. Someone actually took time to fence it off so the horse didn't get loose. But yes. No water. If there is standing water it has made the back yard MUD. There is a pool but the pool was drained before the people moved out. My good friend used to live in the house (but has been moved out for over 6 months), so I would always look at it as I went by. That is how I seen the horse.

As for the people who live across the street from the house where the horse was abandoned... They only take something into consideration if it will benifit them. If it benifits someone else they could care less.

But I will try and get photos and post them. I will also keep you updated!

people who can just abandon their pets like that dont deserve the right to even own one they just make me sick to see people buying any kind of animal just to neglect it its just pitiful they should be treated the way they treat their animals and see how they like it
