Talking *Update on New Baby post- new pics*

Hey guys,

So yeaterday I posted a thread with the foal of a mare at my barn on it, I went and got more pics today! She is so beautiful, she is already bucking and kicking and she is only 2 days old. I also have pics of the parents, she is buckskin and white at the moment but could change in color. Sorry the pictures still are not that great, I was trying to take them from the outside of a stall and my camera has a bad delay of flash- she moved a lot. Enjoy! HER NAME IS OFFICALLY BEAN!

mother-hoochie (i didn't name her)

father- Tater

(the red eye reduction made his eye look gray, he isn't blind)

Rather odd color on sire and baby isn't it? Chestnut red but a black mane on the sire? And I love his blue eye! Cute horses!

Wow! What a gorgeous filly!!! Exactly what I was wishing for when I bred my mare... I'm jealous.

Is her daddy by any chance a dun??? I noticed his ear tips look a lot darker and the filly seems to have some dun characteristics... I'm not a color expert though... that's just how it looked to me. I see darker ear tips on her and a faint dorsal that looks wider up on her withers...

Very perty filly, no matter what color though!

i think the foal is actually a red dun, it can be difficult to tell the exact colouring at maturity until she shed's her foal coat and in better lighting.

The pics make her and her father look chestnut because I brightened them, a little, Tater is a little lighter and the filly looks dun. The father is a registered Buckskin but he looks almost bay and white or strawberry roan and white. He has black points and a black mane and tail. The filly has the looks of a dun, but she has a black tail and black on her nose. So I have no idea what color she will turn, I am excited to find out though.

The stud is also bred to a black soild paint, a chestnut soild paint (she always throws color) and a bay Qh. So I can't wait to see what they throw!

I'd love to see more of the stallion! I've never seen a horse that could pass for both a bay or a strawberry roan! :-) He looks nice in that one shot.
