Thanks red00jeep He will be leaving Dallas at the end of the month, then will retire for 6 months in Choctaw OKLA, then will race again in April at Remington.

It's nice that you guys are giving him so much time off! Well, maybe he'll be back over here in the future .

Thanks, we are giving this time off to him, because he is more important then racing to us. And he is a youngster, no legs/feet no horse, he will be kept in condition by workouts and by time on the hot walker, but no racing until April, we all need a vacation and he has worked hard the last 4 months he needs a break. We love our boy!

I actually do not know why the trainer did that, it throws off the symetry, I was not there, I am a number of states away.

Thank you for your kind comments, I just wonder what he is going to look like once he is fully mature. He is still a baby at this point (No steroid), all natural!

He is adorable ... I do that with the polos with our racehorses sometimes Our colors are red and yellow and on trotters I will alternate ... the trainer doesn't like it hahah but I only do it for workouts

He is a beautiful animal and looks like he will make it far under your care. Just out of curiosity (i know NOTHING about QH racing), but once he is mature (3+) how many races do they usually race in a month or year before they get time off? What were the purses like in the races that he won?

I'll be rooting for him in his next race!!

Oh, I don't have a problem with it, I was just wondering why for conformation photos they were put on alternately.

Every owner is different, myself he will race this last race on the 19th then he will rest up until April, then he will race at Remington. I do not want my horse raced more then once a month or once ever 6 weeks. Some owners will race them every 2 weeks. I think that is too much. My trainer wanted to race him after 3 weeks and to me that just was not enough time to fully recover, and it showed he raced the worst on that race, this year he has had 4 starts since June. Why they were put on alternately I have no clue. I just love his face.

That's great you let him rest!! I work with standardbreds and most owners/trainers just like to run them until they break down. Racing every week or every other week. 30+ starts a year. I love how you genuinly care about your horse and his welfare, he will go far!!
