UPDATE:Free 7 year old Arab gelding in Idaho/HELP save his life!

There is a 7 year, chestnut, 14.3 hd, purebred arab gelding near Boise Idaho, free. This guy is cute, pocket pony, stocky, probably great 4H or pleasure prospect. His health and weight are great, BUT he has until October to find a home, then he will be put down (shot). He has an injured back leg, would bet my life it is a tendon tear, as it is EXACTLY the same place/look/etc as I am familiar with. He just needs the time to heal, and the lady will not keep him and have to feed(hay) him. He is not broke, but has been ridden, lamb gentle, forgiving kind of guy. Raised on 800 acres of foothills and in big herd. He doesn't deserve to die.

No, and it really stinks. This is truly a NICE gentle horse, but his chances here are zero at best.

I'm trying to just let it go, I've done what "I" can, and it isn't good enough. Not my horse, not my decision, so have to let it go.

I JUST found out this horse has been this way since LAST FALL. I was led to believe it was new. This means his is going to stay a cripple. He NEEDS to be put down.

I feel very bad about this, but had I been told the "whole" story I would have never put effort into this.

I sure hope this boy found a home!! Just because he is crippled......that is NO EXCUSE to just kill him. I have several here that are crippled and cannot work or be ridden. BUT....they are completely content just being horses on pasture, and doing what horses do naturally.

The human species just blows my mind with their "dispose of it" mentality......especially when most of the reasons an animal can't be used are because of what some human did or didn't do to them. GRRR!

Not every living being on this earth exists to pay homage to or serve as indentured servants to humans!
