UPDATE FOUND OWNERS!Found two dogs...

Any tips for finding their owners?
We did the pound and put up found dogs on their website and such.
We cannot find anything saying anything about lost dogs that are like the ones we have found...

I hope we find the owners...
Ugh, poor puppies..

If you are in a rural area with a "hometown" radio station, call the station and have them make an announcement on the air. Ask them to do it for a couple of days.

You could try posting an ad on craigslist without photos, but a general description of where you found them and what they look like, and have people call to confirm ownership. I know that at least around here CL gets alot of action.

You can let local animal shelters know you've found them. Lots of times owners call shelters looking for them...

Yes, I am letting them describe them first...since I have heard of those people just wanting free dogs or bait dogs..

Yes, I did Craigs list. I love that site.

Call local veterinarians and let them know that you found two dogs and give a description of each. That way if anyone calls them asking, they can refer them to you. Otherwise put up some posters in vet offices, local feed stores, grocery stores, anywhere that will let you tag a paper for "advertising".

try Kijiji.com

call all your local vets, pounds, doggy day cares ect. in the immediate 50km's or so (dogs can travel)

Get them scanned for a microchip.

Put up flyers in pet stores near you and the immeadiate area.
