Uh-Oh...I want to adopt/rescue

I want to rescue/adopt a mini again...

I feel like I am finally ready to rehab and give a loving home to another mini...

After replying to the "Why do we do it" thread, I've decided I am ready to open my heart one more time...

Fiona is taken care of at the barn where she gives lessons. Then I have Legz, my first mini's baby, hanging at home, not taking up too many groceries. And Mars is my training project, but he's doing well and doesn't take much up.

I could possibly end up moving to a farm to work and I would end up taking Mars. And my mom has mentioned she would like to keep minis in the backyard. So Legz wouldn't necissarily be sold. And my mom knows the basics of horses and she works at the vet and we have very good vets who actually read up on minis and consult with other vets who know about minis. So I would trust to leave Legz and another mini with my mom.

I want to do something good. I can remember the feeling of knowing I was adopting a mini. And I remember the feeling of meeting her and bringing her home. And getting her through everything.

I'm just now sure how to go about it...

I don't know... but I'm considering getting a larger horse that's NOT a rescue for my first horse... and then a mini as my first rescue horse.

So I'd love to hear the answer from anyone who has it.
