I agree. Black polish and than glitter. but I wouldn't use it for show. I use it for fun gymkana shows and parades.

i wonder what would be a cheaper way for the body glitter. my niece got a up comming playday and gold stars on the rump would be so cute. any ideas? do you think regular body glitter would work?

When I was in a drill team we would first spray the rump with hairspray, then dump red white and blue glitter on, then spray again. You just have to scrub to get it off.

To make the glitter gel, you can either buy the "human" glitter gel, or just take some inexpensive hair gel and mix loose glitter into it You can also mix loose glitter into a coat polish (or even water!) and spray it on Every now and then I do this to my horse at home just for laughs *lol* Poor guy! I would just make sure to wash it off well after you're all done.

The glitter in the hoof polish definately comes off hard... my friend and I bought some when it first came out to use at a fun show (at which we did a little 2 person/horse drill team demo *lol*) - we had to sand it off We even tried using polish remover (and Absorbine Liniment, which has acetone in it), and it removed the polish itself, but not the glitter If I was ever going to do anything like that again, I would buy some Fiebing's clear polish and mix loose glitter into it... the Fiebing's is acrylic/water based, so it washes off with a little bit of soap and water

mix elmers glue and glitter and human hair gel and if you want some washable paint if you want color it works really well.

I love using that stuff!! I've never had trouble getting it off. It comes off the body fine, but the hoves might take a couple days.
