Well I'm glad we can help! Sometimes I wish we had consistently cold weather so we could just buy a MW or HW, leave it on, and be done with it! I bet a 100gm would be perfect for what you need, too.

I'll keep an eye out for them in the future Since i have a $150 credit at Dover, I'd really like to use that for the blanket.

I know you want to use your Dover credit -- but for the future RockHorseRanch on here sells the EOUS blankets and they are actually really amazing for the price!!

I've been eying the Eous blankets for a while, but I haven't seen any that have the fill I need! And most seem to be 600D. I love the colors and the fit though

Not sure where you are looking... they are mostly 1680D now.

Two of my HW blankets are Eous. My old man's is a 1680D, but I think the one I have for Cayenne is 900D.

They are great blankets, so if you move somewhere colder they're a great bet.

I know this may sound crazy, but I think some brands denier is heavier then others. One of my friends just bought a Centaur sheet that's 1200d, and it feels thinner then by new Amigo that's 600d.

I also wouldn't recommend an Centaur. There are a pain in the behind trying to fit. There's a small tack store near my house that carries them, and I tried on 4 of them and never found one that actually fit.

Shannon, I love your blanket threads! I've been following each one, because our horses are so similarily built! So what I think fits Maraiah will most likely fit Torreau & "Nasty Wench Mare" aka Nitha well too. Only difference between us is I need a 200g fill & you need a 100g fill

So here are my thoughts for blankets based what everone has said (thank you everyone! )

http://www.doversaddlery.com/centaur...1-24025/cn/59/

Now can anyone tell me now true to size the those brands (centaur, eous & weatherbeata) fit??

It seems like the Centaurs are a no go...They have the Rider's International in 200gm too Personally I love the look of the Madrid blanket but I don't know how the Eous fit.

Weatherbeetas definitely run big, so I would be buying a 78 for Mariah who is somewhere between a 79 and 80. They normally recommend you go down a size, though I think they come in 3" increments so I'm not sure I would order a 78 for an 81 inch horse

^^ I was just thinking Centaur no-go......I just read the one review.....if it rubs an "average built horses shoulders" it'll rub my guys REALLY bad! the have HUGE shoulders & there's lots of movement up there.....so ya it's out.

Good to know about the Weahterbeeta's -- I wrote down size 75" to buy for Torreau, since he's a 78" when measured.

I was looking for a 200g Riders International and couldn't find one on Dover. I mean I can't order from there anyways, but at least it gives me a price compairison for when I head to the Royal and do all my shopping......

COrrection: found the Riders International blankets at Dover -- there's 3 possibilities from that company -- so how do they fit??
