Hey you might want to look at the tuffrider sheets too, I'm thinking of getting one for Kai-they have a plaid 1680d sheet for $100!

Thats funny, I was thinking the Burgundy would look great on Mariah--Angie has a Burgundy halter right now. Which plaid would you get if you did the Pessoa?

I wouldn't go with a medium weight, shut in a stall that will likely be much too warm even if she's clipped- unless the barn is really open.
Her stall is pretty open-- it doesn't even have a door, just a stall guard/gate thingy. The area she's now in actually can get pretty chilly compared to where she was before. A couple years ago we got the first snow in 10+ years in my area, and it was maybe 2 miles down the road from where she is boarded. (There were news crews everywhere, and I admit it, I went to play in the slush on the side of the road )

I'm also a bit concerned because since she grows LOTS of coat that she gets colder easier, if that makes sense. She was super fuzzy in the end of September and within 3 weeks of clipping her, my friend went to ride her for me and I got a text, "Your horse is ready for winter in Antarctica!" I hope that makes sense.

I haven't really seen good reviews on the Tuffriders, but that may have just been for that stretchy sheet. I think just a sheet would be too light though! I'll look Thanks!

oh man! you're on Kanan! My boy is in old Agoura, off of Cheseboro! Small world!!!!

And yes, it was my fault that i didn't properly size him. I just kind of eyeballed it and it is about two inches too big. I probably would be better with the 78" but I got the 80". But the straps and whatnot are really helpful with keeping it in place so it doesn't slip. The fleece at the withers is quite handy, especially b/c he has such high withers.

And yes, I have the supreme blanket. I love it. He's had it for a few weeks now and still, not a single problem. I hope I helped!

I think burgundy would look great as well I would probably go with the blue & magenta or chocolate plaid, even though the bright magenta is AWESOME, I don't think they would like that at a show barn!

I used to board my TB mare in Old Agoura! All the way down at the end of Chesebro at the Pony Club. Such a neat area and those trails are great

You definitely helped, thanks again!

Wow you guys read my mind. Hollywood is up at the trainers again and since they blanket with lights for free I need to get him a blanket so he'll drop his winter fuzz

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to keep my eye out for those later on

Dover only has those two options, but other places cary them. I think I got my lightweight turnout from Jeffers. You can also order directly from the PaintRock website.
