Turn3 Update

Been reading up on Turn3, figure those here that might be following or might acquire one of their horses, needs some information.

1. Judge forced Matt Mercer to Sign AQHA papers. He protested, it is written in transcript.

2. Babies born were given registration papers by force. AQHA is being notified as far as I see.

3. there IS A LIEN by Matt Mercer and his partner on the horses. So be aware that these horses are being sold "illegally" with liens supposively.

4. next sale is Oct. 6 at Tommy Moores in Onstead, then Oct. 20 at Napoleon

5. The cream of the crop are being sold at M.S.U on Nov. 4th...the studs and better bred broodmares

If anyone has donated to the leelanau horse rescue, please PM me for an email address to contact. (at least until I get her permission to crosspost her email)

And please, if you feel this situation is a travasty, pleace check the GL board for information of who to contact. The Attorney General MAY be taking a strong interest!!!!

Do not get emotional, just ask the questions in a mature, logical way. State the facts that you know for sure are "facts".

Good job BW.
As far as facts go in this case, one thing I think everyone agrees is a fact, is this.
Something is most certainly wrong in this case. Tons of stuff just don't add up at all. Too many lies have been told in the past and are now being proven to be just that. Untruths about these horses.

reading all this brings up so much stuff. a friend of mine that I will not name was run over the tracks by AC. a very very powerful rescue here has run just about all rescues here in az out of business and has board member's in the sheriff's dept and AC. she dumped some horses on my friend's property during the night, I was there in fact we got the plate number of the vechicle and called the police and my my who shows up, one of the board memebers, errh I mean sheriff's officers. he call in the "abuse" and boom she gets arrested.

it's horrible, some rescues are so underhanded and unfortunately they seem to have all the power.

I agree with peg there are definately some untruths here.

This is just a real injustice!!! It just floors me to know that this is happening, and people are getting away with it.....what's more, people of power, who are "suppose" to be "impartial" and fair. I know, I would think that there would be something someone could do to put a stop to this.....but this is just another EXCELLENT example of how our elected officials, and judicial system works, and just how corrupt it all really is!!!!

And, people think living in America is so wonderful! There is NOTHING "free" about this country.

America may not be truly free, but no country is. There are rules, laws and yes injustices done by those in power. But I would not knock this country as a whole because of those that abuse their power. There are those of us that are willing to fight and die for the freedoms we do have...

This is very wrong and I do hope that somebody in power will step up to resolve this controversy. It pains me to see something like this happen to these horses and I cannot for the life of me help but wonder how they are getting away with selling these horses illegally! It is wrong on so many level, and what is going to happen to the horses that were sold illegally? Be taken back? Will the people get their money back? *shakes head* This whole ordeal has been one big nightmare so I hope someone can help!

IF this is all true HHF yes indeed, a travesty.
Although I am not a fence sitter I am asking the Michigan Attorney General to look into this, along with other concerned horse owners.
I think a full accounting of the money donated and the money spent should be looked into since the money amounts that they say they spent do not add up in our world of horse expenditures.....
They are saying that they used XXX numbers of bales to feed the animals. If thats true then each horse (foals included) eats around 70lbs of hay each day.
Yes....... laughable.

and if they are spending all the money for vet care and feed for the horses why oh why were they in such terrible shape when they went through the auction? I think we can all rest assured that the rest of the horses will be in better shape because they know there is a uproar about this now, but the damage has been done.
