TTouch?

I've been wondering about TTouch. Yes I've read several Heartland books and they talked about it. I know it's some type of horse massage, but what are the effects of it? Can anyone learn to do it? Are there longlast/beneficial results?

TTouch is a bit of a cross between "normal" massage, some myofascial therapy, and general "bonding" through physical touch, as well as beneficial groundwork exercises that teach the horse some body awareness that he might not otherwise develop, or take longer to develop. There is a lot use in the therapy.

Here is Linda Tellington-Jones's site: http://www.lindatellington-jones.com/

She is the person who actually developed and promoted TTouch.

TTouch is amazingly effective, especially for really uptight horses. I like to use it before I tack up my 6 year old as part of our grooming routine. I didn't find the linda-tellington site particularly helpful, I just googled it. Have fun!

I just got the book (giftcards are great ) and it looks pretty good.
Pretty much you use the nice little circles to calm the horse. They say you can do it for helping with injuries, and sore areas. None of my horses are patient enough to stand for it. Besides, I stink at it.
