Red face Trouble's out for awhile

He went through the fence yesterday and ripped open his hock on the front. Scared the PIS* outa me. It was pretty deep and about 2 1/2-3 inches long so we had the vet out to stitch him up. Luckily no tendons were damaged and it didn't go to the bone. He's walking on it pretty well and just has to keep it wrapped for 7-10 days while it heals. I am so relieved it wasn't really as bad as it looked.

Good news: After 11 hours we finally got the other pastures fence fixed so I moved him away from the other horses. :-) No more fights!

Shame! You've been riding so well lately. What a setback. Hope he heals up fast and stays healthy! Good luck.

I know! We've been working sooo hard... But...this is just how it goes I guess. Hopefully we'll be back up and working again soon, I'm just glad nothing important was damaged so it should heal perfectly.
