Yea, I understand that. I have owned a few cribbers none like the one I have now and my gosh she'd give anyone a nervous habit watching her without a collar on. Since getting this mare this summer I have become old hat to it and I don't even hardly notice it. It's not too bad really just sometimes it can be annoying.

Stress sometimes, Ulcers sometimes, something missing in the diet maybe, habit forming YES, bordem YES, costly to repair all the wood they chew up. 5 days a week workout depending on how many hours a day can be alot for some horses and not for others. Do you have the teeth done regularly? I've seen horses crib due to teeth bothering them as well. Other pain also. The best remedy I have found is to have the vet put in hog rings between the front top teeth. Works like a charm! I also feed my hard keeper TC Complete at about 7lbs a day and ground flaxseed and hes doing awesome.

It's just my personal opinion that given the specific issues you have with this horse (no matter what you want to attribute them to, it really doesn't matter), that he would greatly benefit from a lowered grain/no grain diet, an ulcer type supplement (not necessarily just for horses who have ulcers), and a prebiotic.
