"what idiots, how hard is it to put on a halter." lmao expressa!! but its so true...it only takes a few minutes to untack your horse and the risks that you go through if you don;t are really bad

I grew up putting saddled horses in a stock trailer. WITH A HALTER tied. We had property about 30 min away. When we needed to work with the cattle we would load up the horses already groomed and saddled. Tie em in the Stock tralier with halters and go. It was just so much easier. If we waited to groom and saddle up when we got there we would have to sort out who's tack was who's in the back of the truck.(not lazy, just a pain) The cows knew they were going to be messed with so they would always take off when we got there and go straight down this reveine. We would have to literally get out the horses, check them over, bridle up and go to cut off the cows from going down the revene into the brush. I have never had a problem doing this. I do agree NOT to tie with a bridle. I know some of you may ream me for BEING HONEST, (I could have just not said anything) But I just wanted to state that I think there are some instances where it is OK to trailer with a saddle on. Horses had plenty of room in the trailer, The ride was only about 30 min. We would unsaddle before we left. Rate me BAD if you wish. I don't think I was a bad owner for doing it. I do hope the horses you are talking about are going to be ok.

That's what I really enjoy about this site. As a newbie I know I can always come here and ask questions rather than doing something stupid. Maybe you should tell them about the message board.

| Senior Member+ | Don't worry Cyn we do that too (trailer with the saddles on). I think it's fine the horses are in a stock trailer, tied with a halter. Stock trailers are so huge and there's nothing for the saddles to catch on at all, plus in a stock you lead them out of the trailer so you can check and make sure everything's fine.
