Talking Trailer Gear

When you are travelling to a show or something with your horse do u put like boots and tail wraps on etc?

Moth and Cookie have like covers, boots, halters, tail bags and tail bandages rope halters.

Do your horses get all geared up when they go in trailers?

Just shipping boots....sometimes not even. My horses are not shod so that eliminates injury from metal shoes.....

Depends on how far we are going.

If it is a few hours, yes, I put shipping boots on. if it is cold, his blanket. But beyond that, nope.

For short trips, an hour or so, we just load up and go.

it depends.. if i am goin to go to a show.. i will put a sheet, and wrap all 4 legs. and also put bell boots on all of his feet. i don't want my klutz of a horse to get any more scars on him.. if i am going to a barrel race that is close i will put on his saddle and everything that i run him in.

My horse is accident prone, so I'm always worried she'll find a way to hurt herself in the trailer, even if she's by herself.. so I try to either wrap her legs or put boots on. I put a blanket on to keep dust off (fly sheet if its really hot). And I always leave a halter on her, but she isn't always tied. Depending on the distance and how she's acting, I'll sometimes leave her loose, but always with her halter on.

I don't get all out.. don't normally do a tail wrap, and I don't use a head bumper.
