Trace Clip.

Dose anyone know what a trace clip needs to look like? I know how to clip i just kneed to know what it looks like. My horse is 20 years old and still going, I an going to clip him for the winter so i can work him. And my 10 year old horse (the one in the signature) dose not grow any hare.

The dark brown horse has my variation of the trace clip that clips the belly hair off. The red horse kept her belly hair. I do it based on the particular horse's sweatiest areas. But generally, thats the pattern.

kellida is right, it just depends on the sweaty areas... and other popular variations.

I do believe that HGS in the grooming section has a helpful page about all the different clips and what they are supposed to look like.
