No, those are fancy ended toothpicks, when they are broke in half one end is pointy and the other is the carved end. I have seen them before.

you dont have to use fancy toothpicks...you just have to make sure they arent broken all the way...like bend them till they crack but arent broken all the way....pu the broken end to the inside and go lol
