Took my grandma out to see the horses...

My grandmother (Grammie) called this afternoon asking what I would be doing today. I told her I was taking Hobo for a walk, and then going to the horses. She asked if she could come to the horses. So out she came. The horses are all fairly calm around her, just kind of curious what the little red haired lady was doing in their pasture. This was the first time she met Spook. I wanted to lunge Spook because I had just boughten a lunge line today, so I had to seperate him from the other horses. I wanted to take him into the small, flat pasture, but the other horses ended up in there, so we got the big bumpy pasture with long grass that kept catching on the lunge whip's tip... I swear those things are meant for taller people. Anyways, I had to close the gate and run to get my lunge line and whip, so I handed Grammie the lead rope, and he stood there patiently. Normally he might have tried to get to the other horses, but not this time. I had my crop with me, which works wonders on this horse who is seriously herd bound, it keeps him moving and paying attention to me, which is, of course, great. Grammie wanted to carry the lungeing stuff... she looked so funny with the lunge whip... its taller than I am, and she's shorter than me, LOL. Anyways, got to where we were headed, switched to the lunge line, and he was iffy at first. The fact that the lunge whip keep catching in the grass was making it harder. By the end he was doing good, so I left it on a good note. Anyways, Grammie wanted to lead Spook around a bit, and he was perfect for her. It was so cute, LOL. Then we let him off the lead rope so he could go to the other horses (even though the gate was still closed) and he just followed us... right behind Grammie. So I told her we'd let him go first cause Grammie can't walk very fast anymore. We got to the gate and he was standing there waiting. I told him to move, opened the gate, and I looked over. He hadn't come out yet. Both he and my Grammie were standing there. She was waiting for him to go, and it was clear he was doing the same. He was NOT going to go first. So Grammie walked through the gate, and then Spook came through. I've never seen him do that before. I swear he can tell that she's fragile. She really likes Spook, not much a fan of the name, but she likes him. Parker is more of a gentleman when she's out as well. She always calls him "Pretty Parker" haha.

That's nice that she wanted to come see your horses
