Talking To pull or not to pull, that is the question!

With warmer weather coming up, and Mocha starting to shed I've been debating what else I should do with her spring cleanup. I defiantely have to cut her a bridle path but I was looking at her mane at the same time. I love her mane, and don't want to shorten it that much but I've been on the fence whether or not I should pull it to tidy it up or just leave it. It's VERY thick.

Now keep in mind I don't show and she's not going to be ridden at all until at the very earliest late this fall but I wanted to keep her tidy still. Also I was thinking of clipping her face to clean it up a bit, not whiskers of course, but under her jaw if it doesn't start shedding out soon.

Any suggestions? Tips would be great too if anyone has any.

Pulling it a little to tidy it up wouldn't hurt...plus it will get her used to having it done so its not such a fuss later.

I agree with CowGirlUp... don't shorten it much, but just pull it a bit to tidy it up. Or you could leave it how it is. I love long, 2-colored manes!

You can trim the feathers are trim the mane so it looks less "wild"

Thanks! I never trim our guys feathers, don't show therefore no need to but I really want to make her all purty like this spring.

Thanks CGU and TheBlackHorse, she is pretty tolerant of clippers and pulling so maybe I will just tidy it up a bit and then maybe braid it later in the spring to keep its length managable.

app girl thats makes three, although vix already knows im from manitoba.

Vix I love her mane. I couldnt see her with it short. I also think you should tidy it up and then but some loose braids throughout the summer so it wont get tangles.

Defiantly do a little pull She'll look gorgeous. I love her coloring. Are you going to clip her this summer? I'd love to see what she looks like.
