Smile Tiffany's Dye Job *NEW PICS*

Since it rained yesterday I couldn't work on getting her mane and tail done. How disappointing!!

I am going out now to get pictures of the whole process and show you guys before and afters. I'll be back with an update for you all.

----- OK we're DONE!-----

I will post pics with descriptions above each one.

Here are all the materials I needed, I laid them out before I got started.

*brushes to apply the dye
*the dye
*claw clips
*container for mixing
*gloves!
*plastic bag

Here is the dye that I used, I needed two boxes/bottles. I had one of dark chestut and one black. I mixed them half and half.

Tail BEFORE

Mane BEFORE

forelock BEFORE

I began with her tail, I brushed it out so that when I went to braid it, it would be easy. I did the bottom half or so starting with the ends that were the most bleached out. I then used the brush to do the outer layer of hairs starting with the top. I didn't go farther "in" because the inner hair wasn't bleached.

I braided it once the dye was all on there and I smushed it around. I stuck the handle of the bag through the top of the braid, stuffed her tail in there and tied off the bag with the handles. So easy!

Here is what the dye looked like

With her mane, I divided it into 4 sections and brushed it out. I started with one and brushed the top 'layer' of hair starting with the crest and working my way down to the ends. I made sure to saturate the bottom of the hair. I folded it up on itself and used a claw clip to hold it.

I did the rest of her mane and forelock this way

haha!!

I let her set for about 15 minutes and during that I brushed her body, picked her feet, sang her a song and gave her some hay.

Time to rinse and wash!

ALL wet, and itchy apparently...

Here are the finished results once she was 90% dry

Tail

Mane

Forelock!

One last one of my pretty cover girl!

In all I spent probably 6$ on my supplies and I am ridiculously happy with the results. The hair is NOT damaged at all and it smells nice. Not gross and chemically. I think it looks pretty nice and not fakey. I will take more pictures in the sunlight tomorrow!

Wow that turned out great! Tiffany is SOOOO pretty!

So was that just normal hair dye for humans or was it for animals?

Wow that looks REALLY good!! Such a difference in the bleached sections, it's alllll black black black now! Nice job!

Oh, and I just noticed that Tiffany has the EXACT same eye as two other Morgans I know. Same color, shape, and look to it. Weird no?
