It looks like the horse hunt may finally be over As some may know, we've been looking at this horse, Ty for some time now. We've been out four times to look at him, and one of those times included his first hunter show. We had him vetted, and the vet found that he would be suitable for what we are currently looking for. He has a weakness in his left hind probably due to an old kick; however, the vet feels that with more muscling (he's incredibly skinny at present) he would do fine. She is unsure if he could do prelim, but she says "horses surprise you". We're just learning to event, and honestly, I don't think one can expect to purchase anything above a prelim prospect for our budget. Ty is a really nice horse. He's got a great temprament, very athletic, and appears smart. We'll be leasing him with the option to buy. We need to sell my current horse before we bring Ty onto the boarding property, but someone is coming to look at him possibly this Saturday (*cross ur fingers all goes well*). It's going to break my heart to see Starbucks go...
