I have been thinking about that too. Help keep the green gunk off the top of the trailer. I'll also be interested in anybody's thoughts/experiences.

Covers can be a bad thing, too. If moisture gets under the cover from any little hole, it can and will rust your trailer. My friend bought a trailer that had flat out HUGE holes in it because the cover was left on for like a year and never touched. I told her she just got a trailer with a sun roof

I would never use a cover, personally.

something to look into are RV covers. They're used to cover RV's for half the year so perhaps look for similar designs or perhaps a brand may carry horse trailer covers. Just a thought!

I don't have one because they look like way more trouble than they're worth.

We have aluminum grain trailers on the farm that are never covered. They look like they always did, and they sit outside 365 days a year and get dragged through the mud and dirt. They pretty much only get washed when it rains, which is not very often around here. They're worth substantially more than most horse trailers.

You could always just get a big ole' tarp and put it over the trailer. (I'm assuming this is while the trailer isn't in use? lol. I didn't know trailer covers existed. )
