thorowgood or wintec saddle

I want an engish saddle. I like synthetics because they are in my price range. Which one should i get? A thoroghgood or a wintec? i wanna do a bit of everthing(dressage jumping ect...) but not at show so it does not have to be cosmetically nice! I just want a nice, balanced well priced saddle! Can you help?(I dont want used either)

I prefer wintec - the 500 All purpose model is probably what you want - it has the syntheic material that looks like leather, not the equi-seude fuzzy feeling that just feels fake and cheap. I like the wintec for the interchangeable gullets, i'm not sure if thorogoud has that. I do know that Thorowgood has introduced the new style options to fit Warmblood horses, horses with broadbacks, etc. I haven't ridden in Thorowgood, but i have owned two wintecs (both 500, ap and dressage) and have been very happy with both over the years.. Hope that helps

what do you like about the wintec. Is the price difference worth it? should I get maxam or griffin?

The wintec is well worth the money. I have a wintec 2000. It's a great fit on my horse, I can change the gullet when he changes shape (which is often being a young horse). It's a much nicer saddle to ride in aswell.

I would save a bit longer, and buy a wintec, you won't regret it!
