I'm looking at purchasing a used Thorowgood broadback for a pony that I ride for a friend. I don't want to spend a lot of money because he's not mine, but he requires a broadback (flat, no withers). My new Wintec 2000 of course isn't cutting it!

I've found a few for sale and wondered what the difference is between the endurance and A/Ps? I'm certainly not going to be competeing with him. We are learning basic dressage, do small jumps and trail ride. The endurance version is advertised for not only flat backs, but short backs which caught my attention. He's a 13.2 barrel. It seems that the endurance saddles are selling for the same as the APs, but retail for much more. So, used they seem like a better deal. Thoughts??????
